Summary
According to the regulation 571/88 from the European Council and Parliament the EU Member States must realize 3 farm structural surveys (1993, 1995, and 1997) between two successive agriculture censuses.
From 1989, the 1993 and 1995 farm surveys took place.
The objectives of the publication containing the results of Farm Structure Survey - 1995 are:
- to provide data on the farms' structure and evaluate its evolution since the 1993 survey;
- to provide data about the evolution of the agricultural production methods;
- to characterize farm labour force and agricultural population;
- to obtain data on farm forest.
