Summary
This publication presents the results of the Projections of Resident Population in Portugal, according to gender and single ages up to 100 and over, for the period 2000 to 2050, as well as the adopted methodology, including the assumptions, and a brief analysis. Although the conditional profile of the results, at the time of the preparation of this set of population projections and based on the available demographic information, the baseline scenario was assumed to be the most plausible.
