The main purpose of this publication is the dissemination of the most recent data for the Economic Accounts for Agriculture, Base 2000. The data correspond to the second estimation of the Agricultural Income for 2008. In addition, in order to provide information for inter-temporal comparisons, this publication includes a series for national values referring to the period 1980-2007.

The main results of the second estimate for 2008, compared with the previous year, are the following:
- increase of 1.5% in the volume of the Output of the Agricultural Industry as a consequence of the increase in Animal Output (6.2%), that more than compensated the decrease of 1.3% in Crop Output;
- basic prices increased 2.7% (  2.1% and 3.2%, respectively, in Animal Output and in Crop Output); 
- intermediate Consumption presented a decrease of 2.0% in volume and an increase of 10.3% in prices;
- increase of the Gross Value Added (GVA) in volume (8.8%), but decrease in price and value ( 11.6% and -3.8%, respectively);
- nominal increase in the Net Entrepreneurial Income (1.3%);
- indicator A (index of the real income of factors in agriculture, per annual work unit) grew 3.8%.
