Economic Accounts for Agriculture

Summary
The main purpose of this publication is the dissemination of the most recent macroeconomic data for Economic Accounts for Agriculture, Base 95. The structure of this publication presents forecasts for the Agricultural Income for 2004 and a long-term series for national values concerning 1980-2003. The main aspects from the analysis of these data are:
• the first estimates for the Income from the agricultural activity present a growth of 0.6% in 2004, measured by the index of the real income of factors in agriculture per annual work unit;
• net entrepreneurial income has increased, in nominal terms, between 1980 and 2003. Its evolution is rather irregular, due to the quality of agricultural years.
In order to provide a better understanding, some methodological notes are included at the end of the document.
