Summary
The Portuguese Statistical Yearbook aims to gather information on several fields that cover all INE’s statistical production areas. The 2001 Statistical yearbook of Portugal begins with the theme territory and population followed by information on the economic activity and, at last, a part of information on the social field. In addition, within each thematic group, information is organized from general context to specific context. This publication includes new themes related with phenomena of today’s society which constitute citizenship essential information – information society and political system.
