Summary
As a follow-up to a publication intended to be released on an annual basis, Statistics Portugal presents the second edition of Indicadores Sociais (Social Indicators), first released in 1999. As in the previous publication, it is divided into 10 chapters, each one providing indicators that allow for the monitoring of household living standards, in their various components, i.e. employment, income, Welfare, health, among other. The chapter begins with a brief comment, followed by indicators and charts, using the years 1995 to 1999 as the reference period. The annex contains the main concepts.
