Summary
This issue reflects the updating of the data series released and means to characterise, in an integrated and consistent manner, the cross-border regions of the Norte Region and Galicia, from the territorial, demographic, economic and social viewpoints. Information was compiled chiefly on the basis of the data comparability criterion, so as to allow for a joint interpretation of regions and consequently an intensification of cross-border relations.This publication is structured into three parts: Territory and Population; Economic activity; Social indicators. The inclusion of a chapter on environment is an innovation vis-à-vis the latest issues of the Yearbook.
