This CD-ROM collects all the information contained in the hard copy of Regional Statistical Yearbooks (Norte, Centro, Lisboa, Alentejo, Algarve, Madeira and Açores) for 2001, 2002 and 2003. Information is presented according to three major themes: Territory and population; Economic activity; Social indicators and is structured aiming to achieve the maximum compatibility among the different regions and the various years, in order to facilitate comparisons, but without neglecting regional specificities. Information is organised by: year, region, major themes (parts), chapter and statistical table. The statistical tables displayed may be exported in xls format (excel file), enabling users to treat data at their convenience (extract data, elaborate charts, etc.). At any point of browsing, menus are at user¿s disposal for access to Concepts, Conventional signs, Abbreviations, General notes and structure of the CAE (Portuguese Classification of Economic Activities). The CD-ROM enables search by hierarchy (year, region, etc.) and by key words. With regard to 2003, most chapters present tables aggregating information on all regions.
 

This CD-ROM is furnished with an application and specific functionalities and, for this reason, can not be available for consultation on the website.
Nevertheless, its consultation is free at the libraries of Statistics Portugal.
