This study aims to give a brief analysis about the inequalities between the poor households with and without older persons. In order to enable this analysis, were established poverty thresholds for income and living conditions. The structure of revenues and consumption of these households are also analysed. The authors explore the households database of the last available Portuguese Household Budget Survey (2000).
