Annual National Accounts
- 2008
31 March 2011
Summary
In 2008, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached about 172 thousand million Euros. This value corresponds to a nominal growth of 1.6%. In real terms GDP remained unchanged. This behaviour was mainly due to the negative contribution of net external demand for GDP change rate, -1.0 p.p., and to a symmetrical contribution of the domestic demand. The National Accounts are fully consistent with the EDP notification, which main results were also published today.
