The Index of Production in Construction increased 5.4% in December in year-on-year terms (3 months moving average, working days and seasonally adjusted), up by 0.1 percentage points (p.p.) from November.

The employment index slowed down by 0.3 p.p. to 3.9%, while the year-on-year change in the wages index grew 10.9% (12.3% in the previous month.

In 2023, Production in Construction grew 5.8% (2.3% in 2022). Employment and wages presented annual change rates of 4.9% and 12.4%, respectively (2.7% and 7.1% in the previous year).
