In July 2009, hotel activity registered 4.4 million of overnight stays, accounting for a year-on-year downturn of 4.8%, compared with July 2008. While residents contributed with a rise of 6.3%, non residents registered a downturn of approximately 10%.
Total income from hotel activity reached 204.4 million euros and income from hotel occupancy 146.3 million euros, both corresponding to decreases of 8.3% and 7.7%, respectively.
