In May 2009 the seasonally adjusted index for retail trade turnover at constant prices registered a year-on-year growth rate of -2.3% (-1.5% in April). Employment, wages and salaries and number of hours worked, adjusted for working days, presented year-on-year growth rates of -1.3%, -1.0% and -1.8%, respectively.
