Summary
In the third quarter 2009, the average value of bank evaluation on housing on the mainland attained
€1,164/sq. meter, decreasing 0.3% from last quarter. When compared with the same quarter of the previous year the change was null, resulting from a positive change rate in flats (1.0%) and a negative one in houses ( 1.3%). The highest average value was reported, as usual, in the Algarve region: €1,409/sq. meter. In Lisboa and Porto Metropolitan Areas, the quarterly rates of change were -1.1% and 0.9% respectively.
