Summary
In November 2009 the seasonally adjusted index for retail trade turnover at constant prices registered a year-on-year growth rate of -2.6% (-1.1% in October). This drop was due to a higher deflator as the nominal rate remained at the same level of the previous month, -5.2%. Employment and the number of hours worked adjusted for working days presented year-on-year growth rates of -2.0% and -3.0%, respectively. The year-on-year growth rate of wages and salaries was 6.8%.
