Summary
In April 2009 the seasonally adjusted index for retail trade turnover at constant prices registered a year-on-year growth rate of -2.2% (-5.2% in March). Employment and number of hours worked, adjusted for working days, presented year-on-year growth rates of -1.7% and -2.9%, respectively. The year-on-year growth rate of wages and salaries was 3.1%.
