Dry Autumn rules seed-time and hold back hopes raised by the increasing of price cereals - November 2007
19 December 2007

Summary

On 30 November, early estimates ascribe the beginning of crop year. The sowing area grew animated induced by the high price of cereals but the dry autumn holds back this trend. However, the climatic conditions promoted the harvest, drying and storage of spring grain crops. For Mediterranean crops, vineyards and olive yard, it is expected less production but a good quality.
