Summary
In August 2006 industrial turnover had a year-on-year change of 10.5%, as a result of the increase in demand for both the domestic and external markets (year-on-year changes of 4.6% and 23.4% respectively).
Employment and hours worked declined by 2.7% and 2.0% respectively, also year-on-year. Wages grew by 1.1%.
