Summary
In January 2006 the poultry Producer Price Index fell by around 30%. Moreover, from the same month of 2005 egg production declined by 7.3%. In turn, slaughtering increased from the previous month and from the same month of 2005. It is also worth noting the increase in the volume of pig and cattle slaughtering for the second month in a row.
