Summary
In January 2009 the seasonally adjusted index for retail trade turnover at constant prices registered a year-on-year growth rate of 0.1% (-4.7% in December). Employment and wages and salaries presented year-on-year growth rates of 0.7% and 2.2%, respectively. The year-on-year growth rate of the number of hours worked, adjusted for working days, was -0.1%.
