In August 2008, hotel establishments registered 5.6 million of overnight stays, accounting for a year-on-year downturn of 1.1%, compared with August 2007. Non residents contributed with a decrease of 4.1% while residents rose 3.9%.
In this period, total income from hotel activity reached 270.1 million euro and income from hotel occupancy 199.8 million euro, corresponding to year-on-year downturns of 1.3% and 0.4%, respectively.
