Summary
In the first quarter 2008, the average value of bank evaluation on housing on the mainland attained €1,220/sq. meter, corresponding to a decrease of 0.9% from Q4 2007 and decreasing 1.5% from the same quarter in the previous year. The highest average value reported was in the Algarve region, €1,553/ sq. meter. In the Lisboa Metropolitan Area, there was a null rate of change from the previous quarter while in the Porto Metropolitan Area it rose by 0.3%.
