In January 2008 the year-on-year growth rate in Industry turnover rose by 6.1%, 1.5 percentage points more than in December, mainly due to sales for external market.
Employment and hours worked (working day adjusted) declined, respectively, 0.7% and 1.2%; wages and salaries increased by 1.8%.
