In June 2008 the seasonally adjusted index for retail trade turnover at constant prices registered a year-on-year rate of -1.9%, down by 4.0 percentage points from May. In the first quarter 2008 the year-on-year rate stood at 0.4% (1.6% in the first quarter 2008). In June, employment, wages and salaries presented year-on-year growth rates of 2.5% and 6.5%, respectively. The variation of number of hours worked adjusted for working days stood at -1.0%.
