Eurostat anuncia:
“Eurostat recently launched a Europe-wide online student video contest:
Your take on statistics
It aims to raise the awareness of Eurostat macro-economic indicators and promote their role in
the daily lives of millions of EU citizens.
The contest is offering prizes to eligible students across the EU for inspiring short clips on three
types of statistics: Regional Gross Domestic Product, Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices and
Purchasing Power Parities. Videos should be entertaining and imaginative and show why these
statistics matter to citizens across the EU.
The prizes for the winners and runners up in each category will be: 1st: €5,000; 2nd: €2,000; 3rd:
€1,000. The finalists and winners will be determined by Eurostat, based on the strengths of the
video against the rules and entry criteria. In each category a non-monetary prize will also be
awarded to the winner of an online public vote.
Entry deadline:
31 October 2014
