The Portuguese Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose (acronym: CCIO) establishes a harmonized set of goods and services available to families and individuals, allowing for a greater convergence and integration between international and national classifications used in the consumption.
The CCIO, besides holding support to studies on the expenditure and social welfare, also serves as central classification reference for structuring details meant for specific purposes, in particular consumer prices and household expenditure.
