Summary
This publication, available on the website of Statistics Portugal, presents the results of the Projections of Resident Population in Portugal, NUTS II and NUTS III, according to gender and age groups up to 65 and over, for the period 2000 to 2050, in five years intervals, as well as the adopted methodology, including the assumptions, and a brief analysis. Although the conditional profile of the results, at the time of the preparation of this set of population projections and based on the available demographic information, the baseline scenario was assumed to be the most plausible.
