Summary
This publication, released in digital format, includes the analysis and result tables of the recent set of resident population projections for Portugal. Only available in Portuguese, includes an Executive Summary in English. The current set of resident population projections were produced using the cohort component method, as in previous exercises. The launch population for the current set of projections is the estimated resident population in Portugal on 1 January 2008. The results are presented according to four demographic scenarios, based in alternative assumptions, for the evolution of fertility, mortality and migration.
