Summary
This publication releases information for 2003 in the fields of cultural heritage, visual arts, books and press, performing arts, public financing of cultural activities, broadcasting and sports. With the purpose of providing users with general data that enable a characterisation of culture, an analysis of results is also published, with developments on the main indicators and a table containing summary information.
Although this publication generally maintains the same type of information as in previous issues, the sports chapter now includes data on the number of practitioners registered in Sports Federations and the project financing by the Instituto do Desporto de Portugal (Portuguese Sports Institute) to Sports Federations.
