The current edition of the Statistical Yearbook of Portugal was object of a thorough renewal both in graphic design and content with the purpose of turning it into a more versatile and up-to-date statistical compendium.

The Statistical Yearbook 2004 is divided into four major chapters:

-The Territory;
-The People;
-The Economic activity and the state.

and twenty five sub-chapters with data tables. Each chapter presents a text analysing how main indicators have developed over the period 1994-2004, establishing comparisons with the European Union.

Enclosed with the publication is a CD-ROM wich provides not only the paper publication in PDF format, but also Excel files with extensive data covering the last 15 years (1990-2004), besides including the associated metadata.
