Summary
This publication is the 3rd edition of Trade statistics and disseminates the main statistical findings that characterize the Portuguese Trade Sector in 2011, resulting from the “Trade Enterprises Survey” (IECom) and the “Trade Establishments Survey – Large-sized Commercial Units” (UCDR).

The IECom is based on the results of the Integrated Business Accounts System and allows to estimate the breakdown of turnover by products sold for trade enterprises (section G of NACE Rev. 2, covering vehicles trade, wholesale trade and retail trade). The UCDR survey is targeted to retail establishments considered with a relevant dimension, providing detailed results in particular according to the type of food or non-food retail establishments, by region, by groups of sales area, among others.
