Summary
The new orders in construction index presented a year-on-year decrease of 11.1% in the 4th quarter 2010. However, this decrease was less intense than the observed in the previous quarter (change rate of -15.4%) as a result of the less negative behaviour in the sector of Civil Engineering (which moved from a change rate of -28.5% in Q3 to -16.8% in the Q4 2010). Quarterly and average of the last four quarters change rates stood at -15.7% and 0.8% respectively.
