Summary
In July 2005 the new housing construction cost index on the mainland had a change of 1.2% from the same month in 2004, which represents an acceleration of 0.3 percentage point (p.p.) from June. The year-on-year rate of change in the housing regular repair and maintenance price index on the mainland was 3.8%, 0.7 p.p. higher than in the previous month. The year-on-year rate of change in the product component was 3.5%, up 0.7 p.p. from the previous period, while the services component for housing regular maintenance and repair grew by 0.6 p.p. to 3.9%.
