Summary
In September 2005 the year-on-year change in the new housing construction cost index in the mainland was 1.9%, which represents a 0.3 percentage point (p.p.) deceleration from August. The year-on-year rate of change in the housing regular maintenance and repair price index in the mainland was 4.2%, 0.2 p.p. higher than in the previous month. The year-on-year rate of change in the product component was 4.1%, up by 0.2 p.p. from the previous period, while the services component for housing regular maintenance and repair grew by 0.1 p.p., to reach 4.1%.
