The trade turnover index recorded a year-on-year growth of 5.8% in January, accelerating by 0.5 percentage points (p.p.) compared to the previous month. Retail sales grew by 5.4% (5.1% in the previous period), while wholesale trade increased by 8.4% (5.9% in December).

The employment index rose by 1.6% year-on-year, while wages index increased by 6.1%, compared to respective gains of 1.5% and 5.9% in the previous month.
