• The labour underutilisation rate was estimated at 10.9%, equal to the month before, up 0.1 pp from three months before and down 0.7 pp from the same month of 2023.

December 2024 (provisional estimates):

• The unemployment rate stood at 6.4%, down from November (0.2 pp) and September of 2024 (0.1 pp), having remained unchanged to December 2023.

• The labour underutilisation rate stood at 10.9%, equal to the previous month and three months before, but down from the same month of 2023 (0.5 pp).

• In December 2024, the active population (5,479.7 thousand) and the employed population (5,127.3 thousand) reached their highest values since February 1998.
