In the 2^nd quarter of 2024, 6,0 thousand buildings were licensed, representing an increase of 1.9% compared to the same period in 2023 (-11.9% in the 1^st quarter of 2024). Buildings permits for new construction grew by 2.4% (-14.2% in the 1^st quarter of 2024), while building permits for renovations increased by 3.0 % following a 7.4% decline in the 1^st quarter of 2024.

Completed buildings decreased by 6.2% compared to the 2^nd quarter of 2023 (-13.5% in the 1^st quarter of 2024), totalling 4,1 thousand buildings.

In the residential sector, licensed dwellings for new construction increased by 6.1% in the 2^nd quarter of 2024 (-19.6% in the ^1st quarter of 2024), while completed dwellings grew by 12.3% (-5.7% in the 1^st quarter of 2024).

Compared to the previous quarter, the number of licensed buildings grew by 5.1% (+4.9% in the 1^st quarter of 2024), and the number of completed buildings increased by 6.7% (-8.4% in the 1^st quarter of 2024).
