In August 2007, hotel activity registered 5.6 million overnight stays, accounting for a year-on-year increase of 3.6%, compared with August 2006. This increase was mainly due to non residents, increasing by 6.9% while residents rose 1.8%.
Total income from hotel activity reached 255.1 million euros while income from hotel occupancy accounted for 188.4 million euros, corresponding to year-on-year changes of 5.2% and 6.0%, respectively.
