Summary
In October 2006 the new housing construction cost index in the mainland had a year-on-year rate of change of 2.5%, i.e. a 0.5 percentage point (p.p.) decline from September. The year-on-year rate of change in the housing regular maintenance and repair price index in the mainland increased to 3.5%, up 0.1 p.p. from the previous month.
