Summary
In June 2005 the new housing construction cost index on the mainland had a change of 0.9% from the same month in 2004, which represents a slight slowdown of 0.3 percentage point (p.p.) from the growth pace observed in May.
The year-on-year rate of change in the housing regular repair and maintenance price index on the mainland was 3.1%, 0.1 p.p. higher than in the previous month. The year-on-year change in the product component was 2.8%, slowing down by 0.1 p.p. from the previous period, while the services component for housing regular maintenance and repair had a change of 3.3%, accelerating from the previous month.
