Summary
Statistics Portugal releases its main reference publication, the ¿Anuário Estatístico de Portugal 2004¿ (Statistical Yearbook of Portugal 2004) which commemorates its 129th anniversary. The current issue was the object of a thorough restructuring with a view to improving both its contents and graphics, providing a more versatile and modern statistical compendium. The Statistical Yearbook of Portugal 2004 is divided into four major chapters: Territory, People, Economic activity and State; and twenty-five sub-chapters with data tables. Each chapter presents a review based on developments in main indicators in the 1990¿2004 period and comparisons with the European Union.
