In the 3rd quarter of 2022, the number of licensed buildings was 5.7 thousand, i.e., 7.7% less than in the same quarter of the previous year (-6.6% in the 2nd quarter of 2022) and 3.0% less when compared to the 3rd quarter of 2019. Building permits for new constructions decreased by 5.8% (-5.0% in the 2nd quarter of 2022), corresponding to a level 4.0% higher than in the 3rd quarter of 2019. The number of renovation permits decreased by 12.6% (-9.6% in the 2nd quarter of 2022), corresponding to a decrease of 20.3% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2019. An estimated 3.7 thousand buildings were completed in the third quarter of the current year, i.e., 3.4% less compared to the same period in 2021 (-4.9% in the 2nd quarter of 2022 and +5.6% vis-à-vis the 3rd quarter of 2019).

When compared with the previous quarter, the number of building permits decreased by 8.9% (-9.2% in the 2nd quarter of 2022) and the number of completed buildings increased by 3.4% (-5.8% in the 2nd quarter of 2022).

On a monthly analysis the decrease in the number of buildings licensed in the 3rd quarter of 2022 continues, which was highlighted in September (-11.6%).

In the three quarters of 2022, 3.9% less buildings were licensed than in the same period of 2021, +3.4% than in the same period of 2019.
