The total number of live births registered in the first nine months of 2022 (61,678) was higher than the value observed in the same period of 2021 (59,464), representing a further 2,214 (+3.7 %) live births.
In September 2022, the natural balance was -1,103, a lower figure compared to the same month of 2021, when it reached the value of -1,305. In the first nine months of 2022, the accumulated value of the natural balance was -30,898, improving the one registered in the same period of 2021 (-34,357).
