• The active population (5,197.7 thousand) increased by 0.1% from July 2022, by 0.3% from May of that year, and by 0.7% from August 2021.
• The employed population (4,884.0 thousand) increased from the three periods under comparison: by 0.1%, 0.3% and 1.0%, respectively.
• The unemployed population (313.7 thousand) increased by 1.0% from July and by 0.7% from May, having decreased by 3.9% from August 2021.
• The unemployment rate stood at 6.0%, remained unchanged from the previous month and from three months before, but decreased by 0.3 pp from a year earlier.
• The inactive population (2,461.0 thousand) decreased from the three periods under comparison: by 0.3%, 0.7% and 2.3%, respectively.
• The labour underutilisation rate was estimated at 11.4%, down 0.1 pp from the previous month and from three months before and down 0.7 pp from the same month of 2021.
September 2022:
• The active population (5,193.5 thousand) decreased by 0.1% from August, increased by 0.3% from June and by 0.6% from September 2021.
• The employed population (4,874.7 thousand) has also decreased from the previous months (0.2%) and increased from three months before (0.1%) and from a year earlier (0.8%).
• The unemployed population (318.8 thousand) increased from the previous month (1.6%) and from three months before (2.7%), having decreased from a year earlier (2.6%).
• The unemployment rate stood at 6.1%, up 0.1 pp from August and from June of 2022 and down 0.2 pp from the same month of 2021.
• The inactive population (2,464.4 thousand) increased by 0.1% from the previous month and decreased by 0.6% from three months earlier and by 2.0% from one year before.
• The labour underutilisation rate stood at 11.4% and remained unchanged from the previous month, having decreased from three months before by 0.2 pp and from the same month of 2021 by 0.5 pp.
