• The active population (5,178.6 thousand) remained almost unchanged from the previous month and increased by 0.1% from three months before and by 3.3% from the same month of 2021.
• The employed population (4,886.1 thousand) increased from the three periods under comparison: 0.1%, 0.7% and 4.6%, respectively.
• The unemployed population (292.5 thousand) decreased from the three periods under comparison: 2.0%, 9.5% and 15.0%, respectively.
• The unemployment rate stood at 5.6%, down 0.2 percentage points(pp) from the previous month, down 0.6 percentage points (pp) from three months before and down 1.3 pp from a year earlier.
• The inactive population (2,484.2 thousand) remained almost unchanged from the month before and decreased by 1.0% from three months before and 6.6% from a year earlier.
• The labour underutilisation rate was estimated at 11.1%, down 0.2 pp from the previous month, down 0.7 pp from three months before and down 2.4 pp from a year earlier.
March 2022:
• The active population (5,173.2 thousand) decreased by 0.1% from February 2022 and by 0.3% from December 2021, having increased by 2.7% from March 2021.
• The employed population (4,877.3 thousand) decreased by 0.2% both from the previous month and from three months before and increased by 3.7% from a year earlier.
• The unemployed population (295.9 thousand) increased by 1,2% from the previous month, having decreased both from December 2021 (2.2%) and from March of the same year (11.5%).
• The unemployment rate stood at 5.7%, up 0.1 pp from the previous month, down 0.1 pp from three months before and down 0.9 pp from a year before.
• The inactive population (2,488.5 thousand) increased by 0.2% from the previous month and decreased by 0.4% and by 5.7% from three months before and from a year earlier, respectively.
• The labour underutilisation rate stood at 11.1%, the same values as in the previous month, down 0.2 pp from three months before and down 1.8 pp from March 2021.
