Services turnover index, in nominal terms and adjusted for calendar and seasonal effects, presented a year-on-year change rate of 24.3%, up by 0.6 percentage points (p.p.) from April. It is worth mentioning the section on Accommodation and food service activities, which presented a year-on-year growth rate of 64.5%, with the resptive indice returning to levels close to the pre-pandemic period.
The month-on-month change rate of the total index was 0.9% (0.4% in April).
The year-on-year change rates of the indices of employment, wages and salaries and number of hours worked adjusted of calendar effects were 8.0 %, 9.8% and 11.2%, respectively (8.0%, 12.8% and 13.7% in April, by the same order).
