In October 2019, the unemployment rate stood at 6.5%, remaining unchanged from the previous month as well as from three months before, while having decreased by 0.1 percentage points (pp) from the same month of 2018. That value corresponds to a null revision of the provisional estimate released one month ago.
In comparison to the previous month, both the unemployed population and the employed population have decreased, the former by 2.7 thousand people (0.8%) and the latter by 3.2 thousand people (0.1%).
The provisional unemployment rate estimate for November 2019 was 6.7%, up 0.2 pp from the previous month’s level.
