The annual change rate of the Construction cost index for new housing was 1.7% in December, 0.1 percentage points (p.p.) higher than in the previous month. In addition, the price index measuring the cost of regular maintenance and repair of housing increased 1.3% in relation to the same period of the last year, 0.2 p.p. higher than in November 2017.
In 2017, new housing construction costs increased 1.7% on a year before, almost three times more than in 2016 (0.6%). The annual average growth rate of the index covering the regular maintenance and repair of housing increased 2.0% in 2017 (0.6% in the previous year).
