The October unemployed population was estimated at 545.3 thousand people, having decreased by 2.2% from the previous month’s level (12.1 thousand fewer people), while the employed population was estimated at 4,579.7 thousand people, up 0.3% from the previous month’s level (13.4 thousand more people).
The provisional unemployment rate estimate for November 2016 was 10.5%. For this month, the provisional estimate for the unemployed population was 534.3 thousand people and for the employed population was 4,574.4 thousand people.
