The new orders in construction index presented a year-on-year decrease of 30.2% in the fourth quarter 2013 (change rate of 19.2% in the previous quarter). This behaviour was determined by Civil Engineering sector index which moved from a change rate of 59.4% in the third quarter 2013 to -39.9% in the following quarter. The Building Construction index presented a year-on-year change rate of -22.2% (-22.5% in the previous quarter).
